During a total eclipse of the sun, there are certain factors that have to be just so in order for this to happen the way that it does.

2) The size of the moon has to be just right.
3) The distance between the sun and moon have to be just right.
4) The size of the sun has to be just right.
5) The distance between the earth and the sun have to be just right.
